It’s Autumn, it’s October, it’s Spooky month, it’s nearly time for Christmas songs, tinsel and fluffy jumpers. I am planning on filling my life with fairy lights, movie nights, hot chocolates and all things cosy. There is honestly nothing I love more than this time of year, I love everything about it, I am so incredibly excited. I also love the transition from summer makeup to autumn and winter looks, I want to crack out the full coverage looks, the thick lashes, glittery shadows and burgundy lips.
If you know me by now you will know just how obsessed I am with the Marc Jacobs fragrances, I always always get my perfumes from Fragrance Direct, I have been so so lucky to have been gifted some amazing fragrances, but I also always purchase any I have my eye on from there too as they just have such amazing prices and I have worked with them for so long now, I just love the site so so much.
I picked out a couple of new Marc Jacobs fragrances for the Autumn months, I always love these fragrances and they’re all so beautiful but I think the Daisy Love Eau So Sweet is probably my favourite perfume I have ever owned, it is just beautiful! The bottle is matte and gorgeous, and it smells amazing, its light and fruity and very pretty and I am trying so hard not to use it every day because it’s just gorgeous and I want to savour it!
I also picked out the Daisy Dream which again, is absolutely beautiful. It’s fruity and floral – but slightly more musky than the Eau so Sweet, I am also totally obsessed with the bottle of this one! I have been wearing this almost everyday it’s so pretty.
Makeup Wise I have been obsessed with Morphe for so long, so I absolutely couldn’t resist the Morphe 35H Palette, the colours are so autumnal and I absolutely love it. Morphe palettes are so incredibly pigmented and blend so well. They come in the most beautiful shades and the combo of colours in the palettes are just stunning. Those reds, burgundy and blues are an absolute mood and I LOVE it.
This photo shows the shades I used in the final look 💖
I also picked up the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette which is an absolute dream. Alongside the autumnal bold colours I thought it would be perfect to have a fresh fairly neutral palette with the perfect amount of shimmers and mattes, these colours are perfect for every day wear and I can see myself reaching for this a lot this Autumn winter. I feel like it’s one of those palettes you could use for a fairly neutral look during the day but you could also build up the darker shades and the shimmers for a more party/night time look, and having it all in one palette is just a dream.
For base I picked up the Bare Minerals Bare Pro Performance Wear Foundation I like to go for a fairly high coverage foundation in Autumn winter as its nice to have a bit more coverage in the colder months, I always go for a fuller makeup look at this time of year so a good full coverage base is the perfect start. I also feel like in the summer you don’t want a lot on your skin and want to leave it quite light and dewy, in contrast during the autumn winter I love that full coverage, buildable look with lots of contour, highlight and seamless looking skin. This foundation is a dream, it applies really well with both a brush and a beauty blender (which I do tend to reach for), it builds really well and doesn’t leave my skin feeling cakey. I love love love the colour match of this, it’s perfect and it seems to have stayed on my face really well all day/night.
I’m pretty sure when it comes to highlight no matter what time of year I’ll be like ‘getting that summer glow’ or ‘ready for the winter party glow’ …but you can never have too much highlight SO, for that Autumn glow I went for the Bare Minerals Crystalline Glow Bronzer and Highlighter palette. What I love about this is that the colours are quite muted, not too sparkly but also still lightly bronzed so you still have that golden glow from the summer but moving towards the more icy sparkle that you want in winter time. And yes I really did just give highlight a season…
Lastly for lips I went for the Stila Liquid Lipstick in Sheer Caramello, I am forever looking for the perfect nude and I think I’ve found it with this. There are a few things I look for in a liquid lipstick, one that doesn’t feel sticky, but also doesn’t feel too drying. One that stays on all day and doesn’t go patchy, and feels nice on the lips.
I created a full face using these products and I am super happy with it, I would wear this every day but would also maybe add some more shimmer and some lashes and wear it for a night out too – we love a versatile look!
Big big thank you to Fragrance Direct for working with me on this post and kindly gifting me all of these items. – All opinions are my own and I wholeheartedly love Fragrance direct, I have worked with them for several years now and I will never stop recommending them to you guys, they are fantastic!
