Pip And Nut Chocolate Orange Almond butter

This post is literally a combination of my favourite flavours, and my favourite things and I just HAD to share it with you.

So Pip and Nut have been my faves for the longest time now, since I was kindly introduced to them probably around a year ago now, I honestly did not know what I was missing. I have had the pleasure of trying their dairy free milks and their butters and not one product has dissapointed me so far.

If you have been reading my foodie rambles for a while you’ll have seen that I absolutely loved and raved about the coconut almond butter and the crunchy maple peanut butter being my particular favourites in my Pip & Nut Lovin’ post.

Having seen their new release of the Chocolate Orange Almond butter I just had to give it a go, chocolate orange is probably in my top 3 flavours of all time, and this combined into an almond butter…I just knew it would be incredible.

This stuff is a dream, this is like a whole party in your mouth I am in absolute almond butter heaven and I honestly think this tops all of the other nut butters I’ve ever tried (and trust me, since discovering I liked the stuff after a whole life of being convinced I didn’t…that’s a lot!)

So far, I’ve been mostly eating it straight out the jar if I’m honest, but it’s also great for dipping…and by that I mean anything from fruit to biscuits. Drizzling over food…another firm recommendation. It’s great on toast, in a sweet sandwich, on bagels (especially big thick ones warmed up in the oven so the butter goes all melty when you spread it) (are you drooling yet?)

Again, if you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know I like to do a bit of baking/recipe testing so I thought I’d make some of my date and oat balls but with this new Chocolate Orange Almond Butter.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of oats
  • 10-12 dried pitted dates
  • ½ cup of raisins
  • 1-2 tablespoons of Pip & Nut Chocolate orange Almond Butter
  • A small handfull of Almonds/Cashews/Brazil Nuts (which ever you prefer)
  • Teaspoon of Linseed
  • Teaspoon of Chia Seeds

Method:

  • Add ALL the ingredients to a blender, blend them up until they form themselves into a sticky lump
  • Roll into balls and place into the fridge until they go hard
  • Yes it really is that simple!
