So I’ve been lucky enough to try some of the new Balhsen biscuit range, I am a huge biscuit fan, especially ones with chocolate on them, and whilst I eat healthily 99% of the time it’s nice to have a treat now and again and I couldn’t say no to some of these gorgeously yummy treats!
I don’t suppose it’ll come as any surprise to you that my absolute favourite of the bunch is the Chocolate Caramel Leibniz I just love caramel in things, and combined with chocolate and biscuit is a real winner. I am also a dunker… I mean I dunk my biscuits in my tea (if you don’t then firstly, are you ok? and secondly…are you ok?) dunking caramel biscuits in tea is even better because you get melty chocolate, and caramel. Mmmm
The second pack of biscuits I tried was the Chocolate Orange Leibniz and again…huge chocolate orange fan over here! Literally anything chocolate orange flavoured and I’m all over it. What I loved about these was that they were milk chocolate as a lot of chocolate orange flavoured things tend to be with dark chocolate and I am much more of a milk chocolate fan!
Next up is the White Chocolate Leibniz and I am a huge white chocolate lover, it’s my favourite ‘colour’ chocolate and I always opt for white chocolate if it’s available, there’s not a lot of options for white chocolate biscuits on the market so you defo need to snaffle these up – they are delicious. The chocolate to biscuit ratio on these biscuits is spot on… I cannot be dealing with brands that think a chocolate biscuit is either a couple of chips or a really small blob of chocolate… these are literally covered in chocolate and it is PERFECT.
Bahlsen have added an additional range of new Choco Moments and I have been trying out the lovely Crunchy Hazelnut and Crunchy Mint biscuits. Like white chocolate and Caramel, Mint is one of my other absolute favourite go to flavours with chocolate and the little minty crispy bits in the chocolate covering the biscuit make me very very happy. I favour the Mint over the Hazelnut but it definitely did not disappoint, you really do all need to get your hands on this new range they are yummy AF.
Another product I’ve been loving is the Black ‘N’ White PICK UP! it’s literally a bar of white chocolate sandwiched between two chocolate biscuits and it is delicious!!! And very much like the caramel Leibniz, is perfect for dunking and perfect for popping in your lunch box or hand bag!
I also have a huge thing for these fab Zoo Imagination Animal Biscuits, I’ve included them in another post where I baked a gluten free cake and covered it in the Zoo Animals which you can read here. The whole cake is gluten and dairy free, and suitable for vegans! I crushed some of the little zoo biscuits up in the middle of the two cakes and decorated the top with the little characters as they are super cute! These have been some of my favourite biscuits for a long time so seeing that there is a gluten and dairy free option available was great!
You can purchase these biscuits at, Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Ocado and Booths.
