Autumnal Birthdays

As we’re going into Autumn Winter, I feel as though the presents you buy for your loved ones change themes slightly. I am a sucker for other people’s birthdays and I love giving my gifts a bit of a theme. Throughout this season I tend to think of more ‘cosy’ gifts, skincare, makeup and pamper products for that cosy night in.

Fragrance

When coming up to Christmas and this time of year, perfume ad’s are all over the TV and it feels like the perfect time of year to start picking out your faves. I love getting people perfume as a gift as it’s something that you may not buy yourself yet always make such a perfect special present.

The Style of the Marc Jacobs Dot perfume makes me think of this time of year, the gorgeous ladybird design is so beautiful and pretty packaging makes for that even prettier gift! All of the Marc Jacobs scents are beautiful but I think this one has to be my favourite, all of my female friends love this fragrance so it will make an absolutely perfect gift!

Nails

Along with the idea of a pamper evening, if you don’t want to break the bank what better than getting a few autumnal nail varnishes. I love matching my nails to the time of year, this time of year is all about the berry’s, Navy’s, reds and glitters and I LOVE it. Essie is one of my favourite brands for nail polish, the quality is amazing and if you get them from Fragrance Direct you’ll save yourself a ton of money! They have so many colours to choose from, I’ve noticed a lot of blues and Navy’s in the shops at the moment so I thought I’d go for these and I think they’re perfect for this time of year.

Skin Care

L’Occitane is such a beautiful brand and it is utterly perfect for a gift, it’s more on the pricey side and the person I have in mind for this gift absolutely loves this brand but will rarely buy it for herself so a birthday is a perfect opportunity to get it for her. When I think cosy autumn evening I think pamper evening and what better way to pamper than using some gorgeous luxury products.

I’ve picked out the Milk Make-up Remover and the Tea Tree Body Milk and by picking them up from Fragrance Direct you save yourself so much money – if you’re a student you also get an additional 10% off with UNIDAYS which makes buying gifts so so much more hassle free.

I also picked up these little Mini Eraser Eye Sponges by Real Techniques, the person I have in mind for these loves make-up brushes and trying out new tools, they’re a perfect little gift to pop in along with some make-up or as a stocking filler type gift. I love how cute and small these are, they’re perfect for under your eyes to blend your concealer or for liquid highlight.

Electricals

I always think hair electronics are a brilliant gift, I love receiving new things to play with and also nice things you wouldn’t necessarily buy yourself. I find I use the same old hairdryer and straighteners for years but ‘they work fine’ so I never treat myself to nice new ones. I think a lot of people are like that and so why not treat someone you know to a nice new hairdryer, straighteners or some curling tongs. I think a nice hair dryer is perfect for this time of year, whereas in summer I like to leave my hair to dry naturally it’s far too cold to go out with wet hair in autumn and this berry coloured hairdryer is so autumnal I love it. It’s a perfect start to a pamper night in, after you’ve washed and dried your hair you can move onto the skin care.

The main reason I love Fragrance Direct is because they have everything you could possibly need all in one place, it’s so easy to navigate the site and find that perfect gift, whether its fragrance, skin care, make up or electrical items. There are so many options on the website for both male and female gifts, including actual gift sets and I love just browsing regularly to see what I can find.

I hope you enjoyed this and got some inspiration for gifts to give to those you love with autumn birthdays!

All my love

Evie x
